Short description of the workshop:
In this workshop – held in English – you can learn about some of the most common mental health issues (without the claim to be complete). The focus will be on mental health in the STEM field.
Mental health is something that affects all of us directly or indirectly over the course of our lifetime – that‘s why it can‘t be a taboo topic and needs to be talked about. Therefore, this workshop is meant to start a conversation. It is for both affected people and their friends and family as well as anybody who wants to broaden their awareness and knowledge and learn about some helpful resources.
We welcome all who are interested in the subject, who can respect a safe space, and encourage you to join us.

Kurzbeschreibung des Workshops:
Du weißt und akzeptierst zwar, dass trans Menschen existieren, kennst dich aber nicht tiefer mit dem Thema aus? Bist vielleicht verwirrt von den vielen neuen Begriffen? Fragst dich wieso und in welcher Form trans Menschen in unserer Gesellschaft nach wie vor Ausgrenzung, Diskriminierung und Gewalt erfahren?
In diesem Workshop soll ein einführender Blick auf diese Themen geworfen werden. Vorwissen wird nicht benötigt, ihr solltet aber bereit sein euch auf das Thema und die Perspektiven einzulassen.

Für wen: Der Workshop richtet sich primär an cis Personen, trans Personen sind aber natürlich trotzdem herzlich Willkommen.

Komplexe wissenschaftliche Sachverhalte in 10min kurz, bündig und humorvoll verständlich machen, das ist das Konzept eines Science Slams.
Der wissenschaftliche Inhalt kann dabei alles sein, von Wissen aus Youtube-Videos über „das hab ich eh für die Klausur gelernt“ hin zu Bachelorarbeit und eigener Forschung. Wenn du selbst einen Slam halten möchtest (deutsch oder englisch), melde dich gerne bei uns unter phlynta@zedat.fu-berlin.de!
Im Anschluss an den Science Slam steigt die KriMINeL²-Party.

The concept of a science slam is to present complex scientific issues in a short, compact and humorous way in 10 minutes.
The scientific content can be anything, from knowledge from YouTube videos to "I learned that for the exam anyway" to your bachelor thesis and your own research. If you would like to hold a slam yourself (in German or English), please contact us at phlynta@zedat.fu-berlin.de!
The Science Slam will be followed by the KriMINeL² party.
