Science Talks and Events at the Department of Physics
Scientific Events
In colloquia, lectures, and talks we provide insights into current physics research. Both the experts as well as the broader public interested in physics participates in these events. We also discuss possible applications of our research inspiring to look into the future.
Events for the general public
We occasionally open our lecture halls and laboratories to the general public, e.g. for the Long Night of Science. During it, anyone who wants to study physics, has already studied it, or is simply enthusiastic about science can get in touch with professors, students, and researchers.
Pathways in Physics - online event for (prospective) students
Our talk series "Pathways in Physics" offers young professionals and experienced physicists a stage. Speakers from various research institutions as well as from industries will tell students their very personal stories: why they became physicists, how they recognized what their interests in physics were and how they went about getting positions in research and industry.
